Joe Bland Announces Launch of BlandTV, A Global Free Streaming Network
Film producer Joe Bland, a Producer Member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA), has officially announced the launch of BlandTV.com, a new global streaming platform built to deliver free, high-quality content to audiences around the world.
BlandTV has been more than a decade in the making and represents a major milestone for Bland and his company, Bland Productions, which he founded in 2011. Over the years, Bland has worked with major global brands and studios including CAT, Google, Waze, Lionsgate, Amazon, and Netflix. His work spans film production, television production, digital media, and global content distribution across movies, video games, card games, and board games.
The platform brings together a wide mix of programming, including live TV, streaming channels, space launches, sports content, classic hits, local channels, and premium streaming content. It is already reaching viewers in more than 200 territories worldwide, making BlandTV one of the fastest-growing global streaming platforms. BlandTV is currently available as a web-based streaming service, with apps for Apple TV, Fire TV, smart TVs, and mobile streaming apps expected later this year.
This has been in the pipeline for over a decade. We started building before COVID, but had to pause. Now we're bringing it to life in a much bigger way than we originally planned. This is a major strategic move for us and where we see the future of streaming, digital distribution, and global entertainment going.
One standout aspect of BlandTV is that both the live TV network and premium content are completely free. As a free streaming service, viewers can start watching online TV immediately or sign up for access to premium content, with more exclusive streaming content and additional channels coming later this year.
Bland's vision goes beyond streaming. He is currently building multiple data centers to support BlandTV and other ventures, part of a larger effort to move away from subscription-based platforms and create a more open digital ecosystem.
I've never liked paying for subscriptions, so we built our own infrastructure, including data centers, cloud storage, systems, and apps, so we can control the full experience.
He is also looking at the telecom space, with early plans to eliminate subscription-based phone plans entirely.
Your data should be secure. It should be free. Communication should be free, just like the air we breathe. If companies are collecting your data, they should be paying you a subscription fee.
Artificial intelligence is a key part of what comes next. Bland shared that his team has built a fully in-house AI production pipeline that can create films from start to finish, positioning the company at the forefront of AI in film production and AI-generated content.
Right now, we can produce a full AI-generated movie within a month, without any human involvement. Within the next few months, we expect to get that down to one film every two weeks. And it's not just AI-generated video. We've found ways to use software faster and more efficiently across both real footage and generated content. This is just one pipeline for us. We will continue making films traditionally as well.
Bland also believes audience preferences are shifting toward authenticity and real-world storytelling.
We think documentaries are going to become one of the most popular forms of content over the next five to ten years. People are going to want something real.
Beyond BlandTV, the company is expanding into several new areas. BlandSearch.com, a newly launched private search engine, focuses on user privacy, full encryption, and an ad-free search experience by removing unnecessary clutter. It is still early, but it reflects a broader push toward privacy-focused technology and improving the modern web experience.
Other projects include a AAA video game development division, Bland Games and Bland Records for music artists, BlandPay digital payment systems, and a range of internally built apps designed to run faster and more efficiently than traditional software platforms.
Most apps today are built around human limitations. We're building systems that are faster, cleaner, and more efficient.
Bland also mentioned several upcoming projects, including April X, The Hail Mary, Maybe We Should, and an undisclosed television series currently in post-production.
There's a lot coming. We're just getting started, and we're excited about what's ahead.
With BlandTV now live in over 200 territories and supported by a growing ecosystem of streaming technology, AI tools, data infrastructure, and digital media platforms, Bland is positioning the company to reshape how content is created, distributed, and experienced across the global streaming industry.
